Working in the capacity of a professional school counselor within the four components of a comprehensive, developmental school guidance and counseling program (Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support). Provided individual counseling sessions dealing with a wide variety of issues, such as academic concerns, attendance issues, behavior, relationship concerns, family issues, stress, etc., as well as working with students during individual planning sessions. Provided 504 coordination, and collaborated on RTI, SST and ARD meetings. Presented group guidance curriculum and individual guidance as needed. Provided individual and academic planning during course selection and registration, academic planning for failing grades, EOC and STARR retesting sessions. Provided system support through the creation of a student, teacher and support staff recognition program called Panthers of Promise, created remind accounts for all student cohorts and updated/sent out announcements for each as needed to give students and parents timely information regarding attendance restoration, testing, scholarships, etc. TBRI ® (Trust-based Relational Intervention ®) and CISM® (Critical Incident Stress Management®) trained counselor.
